Meet The Staff
Mark Voss
Mark Voss is the Johnson Tree Company’s "Man Friday." He’s been with the company formally for about two years, but informally for about six. Mark has been the company’s go-to guy for anything mechanical or for anytime help was needed when the staff was out of town or otherwise unavailable. He was recently promoted to Vice President of Johnson Tree Service, Inc. because of his dedication to his work, his profession, and his fellow arborists.
Mark is capable of handling any task brought before him. So far, nothing he’s seen of the daily challenges at JTC has proven too much for him to handle. His background in South Dakota’s agricultural industry and as an over-the-road truck driver solidifies his position as JTC’s HandyMan #1. Mark’s additional experience as a landscape installer provides even more background for his position as Lead Foreman and Director of Operations. Mark was born and raised in western SD, and he is the dedicated father of two sons.

Angela Jackson
Angela Jackson has been with JTC for more than two years as the secretary, receptionist, accountant, … and numerous other titles. She enjoys working with JTC customers who call her for assistance with their trees, their invoices, their schedules and even with their occasional constructive criticisms of JTC. Although Angie has over ten years of office experience, she comments that no other company has offered her more challenges or responsibilities than JTC. Says Angie: "I very much enjoy the work and the people here at JTC because it’s a company with a very strong family bond and family outlook, and its business reputation is without parallel."
Angie moved to South Dakota in 2005 with her husband Joe and their only son. Joe is currently stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Angie and her family have been enjoying every minute of their South Dakota experience by involving themselves in camping and fishing, and viewing the wildlife and mountain sceneries of the Black Hills area. |

Daniel Johnson
Daniel Johnson is one of the newest employees at South Dakota’s oldest tree-care company. But, Daniel comes aboard JTC with more pride and tradition than probably any other employee has over the past ten or more years. Daniel is the grandson of the family patriarch, Charles Johnson, and is the nephew of the company’s current owner "Uncle" Dave. Daniel is well aware that he’s entered into an extremely strong bond and heritage at JTC. Perhaps he’s already looking at the boss’s position ???
Daniel was born in Fort Collins, Colorado but moved to Rapid City with the rest of his family when he was eight years old. He’s a graduate of Rapid City’s public schools and has worked at various restaurants and tourist related work places. Daniel came to work at his grandad’s business the very second that he was of legal age. Although surrounded by Minnesota Vikings fans, and although he is a Viking by bloodline, Daniel remains loyal to his football team of birthright: the Denver Broncos.
